Association of Proprietors of Colleges of Health Sciences and Technology in Nigeria Appoints New Zonal Coordinator for South-West Zone

The Association of Proprietors of Colleges of Health Sciences and Technology in Nigeria (APPCOHEST) has announced the appointment of Asso. Prof. Takon Samuel Ojong as the new Zonal Coordinator for the South-West Zone, effective February 1, 2026.

This appointment follows a recent Board of Trustees meeting where Prof. Ojong’s exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the association were recognized.

Prof. Ojong, a distinguished academic and business leader, holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from IIC University of Sciences and Technology in Cambodia. His extensive educational background includes degrees in International Relations, Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Political Science from institutions across the Republic of Benin, Cameroon, and Zambia.

He also earned an MBA in Human Resources Management from Adonai University in Cotonou and a Doctor of Business Administration in Educational Leadership. His professional experience spans various sectors, including academia, business consulting, and international relations. (ghchst.com)

In his new role, Prof. Ojong will serve as a member of the National Executive Council of APPCOHEST, overseeing the South-West Zone for a term of four years. His responsibilities will include leading initiatives to inspire and attract more members to the zone and the national body, setting a benchmark for other members in the future. The date of his inauguration will be communicated in due course.

The appointment underscores APPCOHEST’s commitment to strengthening its leadership and enhancing the quality of health sciences and technology education in Nigeria. Prof. Ojong’s leadership is expected to drive significant growth and improvement in the association’s operations, aligning with its vision and mission.
